Masterclass by Yernar Zharmagambetov — Investment Strategist and Portfolio Management Expert

We are pleased to announce an advanced masterclass led by Yernar Zharmagambetov, an award-winning investment strategist and senior portfolio manager specializing in institutional investment management, portfolio immunization strategies, and asset-liability management.

With more than 15 years of experience managing multi-billion-tenge portfolios for leading financial institutions in Kazakhstan, Yernar brings a rare perspective at the intersection of institutional finance, investment strategy, and digital communication. His professional work includes directing investment portfolios exceeding USD 1 billion, implementing advanced duration-immunized ALM frameworks, and optimizing portfolio risk structures within highly regulated financial environments.

This masterclass will explore how digital marketing principles can be applied to the world of institutional finance, where investment decisions are driven by rigorous analysis, risk evaluation, and committee-based governance. Participants will learn how complex financial products — including investment strategies, insurance portfolios, and institutional asset-management solutions — can be effectively communicated and positioned for professional investors.

Drawing on real institutional market practices, investment communication frameworks, and international case studies, the session will demonstrate how financial professionals can build credibility, attract institutional attention, and convert analytical insights into long-term investment relationships.

Yernar Zharmagambetov, MBA, CFA, is an investment strategist and senior portfolio manager with over 15 years of experience in institutional asset management, financial risk analysis, and portfolio optimization. Currently serving as Senior Portfolio Manager at Halyk Finance, a subsidiary of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan, he oversees investment portfolios exceeding USD 1 billion across major insurance institutions, including Halyk Life and Halyk Insurance. His investment strategies have contributed to strong financial performance and improved capital stability within the insurance sector.

He also contributes to academic and professional discourse as a peer reviewer for the international scientific journal Actual Research and as the author of multiple publications on portfolio optimization, interest-rate risk management, and financial modeling.

His expertise has been recognized by international media including TechBullion (UK), DNA India, Financial Tech Times (EU/US), Trend News (Azerbaijan), and Forbes Kazakhstan, highlighting his contributions to modern investment strategy and financial innovation.

Through his work in both professional practice and research, Yernar Zharmagambetov continues to promote the integration of analytical finance, risk-aware investment strategy, and transparent financial communication in global capital markets.
